I believe that the lessons that golf teaches are capable of
providing Schenectady youth with the opportunity to grow
into mature, understanding, and productive adults and
community leaders. Golfers learn to compete by embracing
ethics, etiquette, positive thinking, communication,
friendship and empathy for fellow competitors. They learn
the importance of being prompt, the value of preparation,
patience and yes, “the rub of the green” or “life’s hard
knocks.” This community-based program teaches what it takes
to play golf and along the way they learn what it takes to
be successful in life and, we hope, contributing members of
our community. |
